Crystal Palace has signed Dwight McNeil in a £20m deal. The 26-year-old midfielder has completed a move to the club and signed a four-year contract in a swap deal that involved Brennan Johnson moving to Everton. McNeil had nearly moved to Palace in the January transfer window when the club agreed a loan-to-buy deal, but the transfer fell through due to paperwork issues. McNeil's partner, Megan Sharpley, had criticized Palace on Instagram after the deal fell through, saying that the club had toyed with McNeil's mental health. Palace co-owner Steve Parish contacted Sharpley before the new deal was completed. McNeil has scored 15 goals in 128 games for Everton since joining the club in July 2022. Palace have won the FA Cup, Community Shield, and Uefa Conference League in the last two seasons. McNeil said he is looking forward to being part of the team's success. Palace are currently 15th in the Premier League with 45 points from 38 games, and have a -10 goal difference. They are 40 points behind leaders Arsenal.
