Crystal Palace will demand a fee of £50m for Maxence Lacroix, amid an approach from Chelsea. Chelsea have contacted their London rivals to discuss a deal for Lacroix, as Xabi Alonso looks to sign a centre-back this summer.
What's the situation?
The France international is one name on Chelsea’s radar, alongside Como defender Jacobo Ramon. Palace do not want to lose Lacroix this summer, having also sold Marc Guehi to Manchester City in January.
Why the high price tag?
Football Insider are reporting that the Eagles would be willing to discuss a deal for the 26-year-old at £50m. Palace paid £18m to sign Lacroix from Wolfsburg in 2024 and that fee would represent a significant profit for the club’s sell-to-buy business model.
